Your own blood. Three different preparations.

The names sound similar, but the preparation and intended role are different. You don’t need to choose one before you arrive—we’ll help you understand what fits, what doesn’t and why.

PRP

Platelet-rich plasma is prepared from a small blood sample. It may be used in selected skin-quality, hair-thinning or microneedling plans. Standard liquid PRP is not a conventional filler and does not create immediate structural volume.

PRF

Platelet-rich fibrin is a different blood-derived preparation with a fibrin framework. It is not simply another name for PRP. We offer PRF; your injector will explain the preparation and whether it fits your treatment area and goals.

PRP Gel / NaturaGel

A plasma-based gel preparation, distinct from liquid PRP and conventional dermal filler. It may be discussed when considering selected soft-tissue volume concerns. Suitability and the likely result depend on the area and assessment.

Using your own blood does not make treatment risk-free. Screening, sterile technique, informed consent and realistic expectations still matter.

Start with what you’d like to discuss

Hair thinning

The cause of thinning matters. Sudden, patchy or unexplained hair loss may need medical assessment before an aesthetic treatment plan.

Skin texture & scars

PRP may be considered alongside microneedling in selected skin-quality and acne-scar plans. We review your skin condition, healing factors and pigment risk.

Under-eye concerns

Darkness, puffiness, visible vessels and hollowness have different causes. We assess your anatomy before discussing PRP, PRF, NaturaGel or another approach.

A thoughtful plan—not every treatment at once

PRP can be part of a broader plan, but adding more procedures is not automatically better. Your provider explains the purpose of each recommendation and whether the timing and additional recovery make sense for you.

With microneedling

Selected plans pair PRP with microneedling. The delivery method and suitability depend on your skin condition, treatment area and health history.

Alongside other skin care

Laser, resurfacing or injectable treatments may address different concerns within a broader plan. Your provider determines whether to combine or stage them; a same-day combination is not assumed.

Within a hair plan

Some hair concerns need medical evaluation or other hair-loss care alongside—or instead of—PRP. Your plan should reflect the cause of thinning, not just the appearance.

What happens at Sparkle

01 · Talk & assess

We review your goals, medical history, medications, prior treatments and the area you’d like to address. You receive a recommendation, a quote and time to ask questions.

02 · Prepare & treat

If you choose to proceed and are a suitable candidate, a small blood sample is collected and processed for the agreed preparation. Treatment follows the method discussed during consent.

03 · Recover & review

You leave with procedure-specific aftercare. We review your response and whether further sessions are appropriate; results are gradual, variable and not guaranteed.

Before your visit & aftercare

Before your appointment

Tell your provider about medications, supplements, bleeding or clotting concerns, anemia, blood or platelet disorders, infection, pregnancy or breastfeeding, cancer treatment, immune conditions and previous reactions. This is not an exhaustive screening list. Do not stop prescribed medication unless your prescribing clinician instructs you to do so.

After your treatment

Follow the instructions for your preparation, treatment area and delivery method. Temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or pinpoint bleeding can occur. Microneedling may also cause dryness or flaking. Avoid manipulating the area unless instructed, and contact the clinic about unexpected or concerning symptoms.

Preparation instructions—including hydration, eating before a blood draw, and skin or scalp preparation—are tailored to your appointment. Treatment may be deferred or another assessment recommended after screening.

What is the difference between PRP, PRF and PRP Gel?

All are prepared from a sample of your blood, but the preparations are different. PRP is platelet-rich plasma; PRF is a platelet-rich fibrin preparation; PRP Gel or NaturaGel is a plasma-based gel preparation. They are not interchangeable. Your injector explains which option, if any, fits your concern.

Can PRP be combined with microneedling or other treatments?

Yes, selected plans may combine PRP with microneedling. Other skin, laser or injectable treatments may address different concerns within a broader plan. Your provider decides whether a combination is appropriate and explains the sequence, spacing, additional recovery and cost.

How many sessions will I need, and when will I see changes?

There is no single schedule for every concern. Some plans use a series; others are reassessed after an initial treatment. Results, when they occur, are gradual. Skin-quality changes may be assessed over weeks, while hair plans require longer follow-up. Your response is reviewed before continuing.

Does treatment hurt, and is there downtime?

Treatment includes a blood draw and may involve injections or microneedling. Discomfort and recovery depend on the area and technique. Redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising or pinpoint bleeding can occur; microneedling can also cause dryness or flaking. Your provider explains comfort measures and aftercare for your procedure.

Is treatment with my own blood risk-free?

No. Blood-derived treatments still require health screening, sterile technique and informed consent. Infection, procedure-related complications, unsatisfactory results or no response are possible. Your provider reviews the risks of the specific preparation, delivery method and treatment area.

How much does PRP treatment cost at Sparkle?

Facial and under-eye PRP starts at CAD $450 per session. Hair PRP starts at CAD $650 per session. PRF and NaturaGel are quoted separately at consultation. Packages and memberships are available; your provider confirms eligibility, the recommended plan and your total quote before treatment.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Sparkle offers free consultations to review your concern, health history, medications, previous treatments and expectations. Your injector explains suitable options, pricing, limitations and whether medical assessment or another approach should come first.
