Frequently Asked Questions
How long do skin boosters last?
Results can last up to 9 months, however after the initial treatments many patients will have a top up treatment at about 9 – 12 months.
What are Skinboosters?
Skinboosters contain a unique form of stabilized hyaluronic acid (HA) to plump and hydrate the skin. Unlike hyaluronic acid that is found in your skincare, Restylane uses stabilized HA that is cross-linked to still resemble natural HA – but lasts for months instead of days.
How long does Restylane Vital last?
Generally, two to three treatments every fourth week are recommended initially, followed with maintenance treatments approximately every four to six months for Vital and Vital Light. RESTYLANE® Lip Refresh results are expected to last for up to 6 months.
Are skin boosters safe?
This product is extremely safe given that it is found in nature and is an essential part of the skin. Side effects are minimal and include temporary redness, bruising and rarely palpable lumps, which are not visible and quickly dissolve into the skin.
Is Skin Booster a filler?
Skin Boosters are a dermal filler designed to be injected superficially into the surface of the skin to produce skin hydration and glow.
Do skin boosters work?
Skin boosters have been proven to improve skin’s elasticity, firmness, smoothness, and hydration. Because your skin is deeply hydrated, fine lines and wrinkles diminish, your skin looks fuller, and it stays moisturized longer. They’ve even been shown to improve the look of acne scarring.
How do Restylane skin boosters work?
Restylane Skin Boosters is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle. Treatment improves natural hydration levels and boosts collagen production and elastin in the deeper layers of the skin. This in turn improves the skin surface texture and appearance.
What areas can Restylane Skinboosters treat?
Restylane Skinboosters improves skin smoothness, elasticity and appearance to refresh your look. It can be used in your face (lower cheek/jawline), upper neck and back of the hands.
How long does the treatment take?
A treatment with Restylane doesn’t usually take long. A touch-up treatment is sometimes performed after the initial treatment to optimize your results.

Can I have a Restylane treatment if I am pregnant?
Restylane products have not been tested in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Inform your healthcare professional if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before receiving treatment.
