We review your goals, skin, scar or pigment history, recent sun exposure, medications and previous treatments. Ask questions; there is no one-size-fits-all plan.
02 Plan & treatment
Review the proposed area, settings, sessions, quote, comfort measures and consent before deciding. Treatment may feel warm, snappy or prickly.
03 Recovery & review
Your provider explains skincare, sun protection and when to review your response. Redness, warmth, swelling or sensitivity may follow treatment.

A little preparation. Clear guidance afterward.
An assessment comes first. Tell your provider about pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection, recent tanning, melasma, keloid history, photosensitivity, isotretinoin use or a compromised skin barrier. Treatment may need to wait or another approach may be more appropriate.
Before your visit
- Avoid tanning, sunburns, self-tanner, and unprotected sun exposure before treatment.
- Tell us about medications, photosensitivity, melasma, pigment history, cold sores, recent procedures, pregnancy, breastfeeding, isotretinoin use, or skin conditions.
- Pause retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide, or other active products only as directed by your provider.
- Arrive with clean skin: no makeup, oils, heavy creams, or irritating skincare on the treatment area.
Aftercare
- Keep skin clean, hydrated, and protected with a gentle cleanser, fragrance-free moisturizer, and SPF 30+ or higher.
- Use cool compresses for the first 24-48 hours if the skin feels warm, swollen, or uncomfortable.
- Avoid heat, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, intense workouts, exfoliants, retinoids, and direct sun exposure as directed.
- Do not scrub, pick, exfoliate, or peel dryness, rough texture, or pinpoint crusting if it occurs.
Risks & realistic expectations
Possible effects include redness, swelling, warmth, dryness, sensitivity, rough texture, pinpoint crusting, acne flare, pigment darkening or lightening, blistering, burns, scarring or unsatisfactory results. Assessment and aftercare can reduce risks, but cannot eliminate them.
When to contact Sparkle: Contact the clinic for increasing redness, significant swelling, pus, severe pain, blistering, open areas, infection signs, pigment changes or any reaction that worries you. For urgent or severe symptoms, seek medical care.

Many plans involve a series. The number and spacing depend on your concern, scar pattern, skin response and goals. Your provider explains the proposed plan and total quote at consultation.
What does PicoWay Resolve feel like?
Treatment may feel warm, snappy, prickly or tingling. Comfort varies with the area and settings. Your provider will explain available comfort measures before treatment.
Is there downtime after PicoWay Resolve?
Temporary redness, warmth, swelling, dryness, sensitivity or pinpoint crusting can occur. Recovery depends on the settings and your skin; plan around your provider’s advice rather than assuming no downtime.
When will I see results?
Texture and collagen-related changes develop gradually over weeks to months. Results vary, and a series or maintenance may be discussed. Improvement is not guaranteed.
Is PicoWay Resolve suitable for my skin tone or melasma?
Suitability depends on the concern, skin tone, pigment history, recent tanning, medications and selected settings. Melasma can flare with inflammation and is not automatically a reason to choose laser. An individual assessment comes first.
