Nordlys IPL & Laser Treatments in Moncton & Dieppe
Your skin has its own story. Nordlys gives our team several ways to approach redness, pigmentation and texture—so your plan starts with your skin, not a one-size-fits-all treatment.

One platform. Four different approaches.
At Sparkle, Nordlys includes SWT IPL, Frax 1550, Frax 1940 and Nd:YAG. Each has a different role. We’ll help you understand which option—or another technology—is worth considering for your skin.
SWT IPL
Light-based treatment for selected pigmentation and redness concerns. IPL is not a laser.

Frax 1550
Non-ablative fractional laser for deeper skin resurfacing, including selected texture and scar concerns.

Frax 1940
Non-ablative fractional laser for more superficial resurfacing and selected benign pigmentation concerns.

Nd:YAG 1064
Laser treatment for selected visible vessels and vascular concerns. Suitability depends on the concern and your skin.

Before & After
Nordlys treatment examples.
These Candela Nordlys examples are shared for education; they are not presented as Sparkle client results. Outcomes vary by concern, modality, skin type, settings, sessions and aftercare. They do not guarantee your result.
A quote built around your treatment.
Nordlys is a platform, not one treatment with one price. Your quote depends on the modality, treatment area, number of passes, any planned combination and the number of sessions.
We confirm pricing at your free skin consultation before treatment. Ask about available packages and membership options.
Thoughtful screening. Clear aftercare.
Suitability depends on the modality, your skin tone and the concern—not simply the device name. Melasma, darker skin tones, recent tanning, self-tanner, pigment changes and photosensitizing medications need careful assessment. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active infection, open wounds, eczema or psoriasis flares and some medical conditions may mean postponing treatment or choosing another approach.
Before your visit
- Avoid tanning, sunburn, and self-tanner before treatment.
- Tell us about pregnancy, breastfeeding, medications, photosensitivity, melasma, pigment history, active acne, cold sores, and recent procedures.
- Pause retinoids, acids, exfoliants, or active skincare only as directed.
- Arrive with clean skin and no makeup if possible.
Aftercare
- Use SPF and gentle skincare as directed.
- Avoid heat, sun exposure, aggressive skincare, picking, and exfoliation while healing.
- Expect redness, swelling, darkening pigment, dryness, flaking, or sensitivity depending on modality.
- Contact the clinic with blistering, worsening pain, infection signs, pigment changes, or anything concerning.
Risks worth understanding
Possible effects include redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, pigment darkening or lightening, burns, blistering, crusting, dryness, flaking, infection, acne or cold sore flare, scarring, under-response, or unsatisfactory results. Risks vary by modality and can be reduced with assessment and aftercare, but they cannot be eliminated.
Your provider will explain the risks and recovery for the treatment recommended to you. For urgent symptoms, seek medical care.

A few helpful answers
Your Nordlys questions, answered.
Not sure which treatment to ask for? That’s what the consultation is for.
Is Nordlys the same as IPL?
No. Nordlys is a platform that includes SWT IPL and laser applicators. IPL uses intense pulsed light; Frax 1550, Frax 1940 and Nd:YAG are lasers. We choose the approach after assessing your skin.
Can Nordlys be used on every skin tone?
Suitability depends on the applicator, concern, tanning history and your risk of pigment changes. Not every Nordlys treatment is appropriate for every skin tone. A consultation is required before treatment.
What recovery time should I plan for?
It depends on the modality and treatment intensity. IPL may cause temporary redness and pigment darkening; fractional laser treatment can involve redness, swelling, dryness and flaking. We explain your expected recovery and aftercare before you decide.
How many visits will I need, and when will I see changes?
Some concerns need a series, with spacing and follow-up based on your skin’s response. Pigment and vascular changes and resurfacing results develop differently; we give you a treatment-specific estimate at consultation. Results vary, and maintenance may be recommended.
How much do Nordlys treatments cost at Sparkle?
Pricing is consultation-based because the modality, area, passes, combinations and treatment course vary. Your skin consultation is free, and we confirm your quote before treatment. Packages and membership options are available.
Can Nordlys be combined with other treatments?
Sometimes. Your plan may include skincare or other treatments, but the combination and spacing must fit your skin and recovery. We assess whether another approach is more appropriate rather than combining treatments automatically.
