- History of keloid scarring, hypertrophic scars, severe allergies, or inflammatory skin conditions.
- Known sensitivity to hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, or lidocaine.
- Recent injectables, dental work, vaccination, laser, ultrasound, or RF in the same area within the recommended waiting period.
Safety note: HArmonyCa™ is not injected into the lips, around the mouth, under the eyes, or glabella/frown-line area. These areas require different products, techniques, and safety planning.
Treatment Process
What to expect during your HArmonyCa™ appointment.
1. Consultation
We assess facial anatomy, tissue quality, laxity, medical history, goals, and treatment history.
2. Mapping
Your injector marks the treatment areas, focusing on safe placement and structural support.
3. Injection
HArmonyCa™ is placed in appropriate deep dermal or sub-dermal planes using a fine needle or cannula.
4. Massage
Your injector massages the area to shape the product and support even distribution.
5. Post-Care
Cooling, inflammation control, and post-care instructions are reviewed before you leave.
Appointment Time
Usually 45–60 minutes depending on consultation, preparation, and treatment area.
Comfort Level
Mild to moderate. HArmonyCa™ contains lidocaine, and many clients describe pressure more than sharp pain.
Downtime
Minimal for many clients. Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, firmness, or bruising can occur.
Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before treatment.
- Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, Advil, fish oil, and vitamin E for 3–5 days unless medically necessary.
- Avoid dental work, vaccinations, and laser/RF/energy treatments within 4 weeks unless cleared by your provider.
- Avoid makeup in the treatment area for at least 12 hours before treatment.
- Arrive hydrated with clean, makeup-free skin.
Post-Treatment Care
- Apply a cold compress intermittently to reduce swelling and calm inflammation.
- Do not apply makeup to the treated area for at least 12 hours.
- Avoid strenuous activity, extreme heat, saunas, tanning lamps, and heavy sun exposure for 24 hours.
- Avoid facials, chemical peels, ultrasound, laser, and RF treatments for at least 4 weeks.
- Stay well hydrated and follow your injector’s specific massage guidance if needed.

Potential Side Effects and Safety Considerations
Common temporary effects may include swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, itching, localized discomfort, firmness, or small temporary nodules under the skin. Rare but more serious risks can include infection, asymmetry, allergic reaction, inflammatory response, or vascular complication. Your provider will review risks, contraindications, and emergency instructions before treatment.
