Product Details
Osmosis Rescue MD Advanced is a medical-grade serum for reactive, congested, and post-treatment skin, formulated around Trioxolane, a patented oxygen molecule. It is one of the products we reach for most often at Sparkle, and it ships across Canada from our clinic in Moncton, NB.
What Is Osmosis Rescue MD Advanced?
Rescue MD Advanced is an oxygen-based repair serum designed to calm the look of inflammation, support the skin’s detoxification processes, and rebuild barrier health. Where most serums work at the surface, Trioxolane is formulated to work at the cellular level, helping inhibit oxidative damage and supporting the skin’s natural repair mechanisms.
It is a cosmetic skincare product, not a medication. Many clients notice a difference in comfort on the first application.
Who Is Rescue MD Advanced For?
- Sensitive or reactive skin prone to the appearance of redness and irritation
- Skin affected by rosacea-type redness
- Acne-prone or congested skin needing calm and balance
- Post-treatment recovery after laser, microneedling, peels, or injectables
- Anyone wanting a daily serum that supports comfort while rebuilding long-term skin health
Rescue MD Advanced vs Osmosis Rescue: Which One Do I Need?
This is the question we are asked most often. Both serums are built on the same active, Trioxolane, and both are formulated for reactive, congested skin.
The difference is concentration and access. Rescue MD Advanced contains a higher concentration of the active ingredient, and it is a professional-channel product — it can only be purchased through an approved medical aesthetic clinic. Sparkle is one. The original Osmosis Rescue Serum is the retail-line version and is available more widely.
Both are the same size and the same price here, so the practical question is not budget. It is whether your skin needs the stronger formulation. A higher concentration is not automatically the better choice — for some very reactive skin, the retail strength is the more comfortable starting point. If you are not sure, a skin mapping consultation will tell you which suits your skin, and we would rather you started on the right one than the strongest one.
New to the line and want to try before committing? The Osmosis Rescue travel size is the lowest-risk way in.
How Do You Use Osmosis Rescue MD Advanced?
Apply 2 to 3 drops to clean, dry skin morning and night for the first two weeks. After two weeks, transition to once daily until irritation settles. If your skin is sensitive, use Rescue alone and hold off on layering other actives. It should feel soothing on application.
Using Rescue after a treatment
This is a favourite after laser, microneedling, chemical peels, and injectables. Many clients use it morning and night for at least two weeks. Always follow the aftercare instructions your provider gives you, as those take priority over any general guidance here.
How Long Does Osmosis Rescue Take to Work?
Most clients notice a difference in comfort quickly. Visible improvements in the appearance of redness, irritation, or breakout clarity typically appear within 2 to 4 weeks. For concerns such as the appearance of pigmentation, or post-procedure recovery, many clients plan on 6 to 12 weeks. Individual results vary.
Some clients notice slight dryness in the first few days, which usually settles within a week as the barrier strengthens. Follow with a moisturizer. If irritation is more than mild, stop use and contact us.
What Is Trioxolane?
Trioxolane (ozonized ethyl oleate) is a patented, stable oxygen molecule and the ingredient that defines this serum. It is formulated to help inhibit protein oxidation caused by environmental stress, calm the look of irritation, and support the skin’s own recovery processes.
Key ingredients
- Trioxolane™ (Ozonized Ethyl Oleate) — patented oxygen molecule formulated to support detoxification and cellular regeneration
- Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil — rich in essential fatty acids to help protect and repair the skin barrier
What to Pair It With
- Osmosis Quench Moisturizer — for hydration and barrier support alongside Rescue
- Osmosis StemFactor MD Advanced — to introduce growth factors once skin has settled
- A mineral SPF — daily protection matters most while skin is healing or compromised

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use Osmosis Rescue MD Advanced?
Apply 2 to 3 drops to clean skin morning and night for the first two weeks, then transition to once daily until irritation calms. If your skin is sensitive, start with Rescue alone before layering actives such as vitamin A or vitamin C. It should feel soothing right away.
How long does a bottle of Osmosis Rescue last?
One 1 oz (30 mL) bottle typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks with twice-daily use. A 5 mL travel size lasts about 5 to 7 days. The professional size is 4 oz (120 mL).
What is the difference between Osmosis Rescue and Rescue MD Advanced?
Both use the same active ingredient, Trioxolane. Rescue MD Advanced contains a higher concentration and is a professional-channel product, available only through approved medical aesthetic clinics such as Sparkle. The original Osmosis Rescue Serum is the retail-line version. Both are 30 ml and the same price at Sparkle, so the choice comes down to what your skin needs rather than cost.
Is Rescue suitable for sensitive skin?
Rescue is formulated for irritated or compromised skin, and is often a reasonable starting point if you react to other products. Use it alone for two weeks before adding anything else. It should feel comfortable on application. If it stings or burns, stop use.
Can I use Rescue with other serums?
Start with Rescue alone for at least two weeks. After irritation calms you can layer it with other serums or treatments. Avoid combining it with vitamin A or vitamin C in the first two weeks if your skin is sensitive, as these actives can compound irritation on already-reactive skin.
Can I use Rescue after laser or microneedling?
Many clients use Rescue after laser, microneedling, chemical peels, injectables, and professional facials to support comfort during recovery. Always follow the specific aftercare instructions from your provider, as these take priority.
Can I use Rescue if I have active breakouts?
Yes. Rescue is formulated for congested and reactive skin, and is intended to calm the look of irritation while supporting the skin’s natural recovery.
Will Rescue help with hormonal breakouts?
Rescue addresses the visible irritation that often accompanies breakouts. It does not address hormonal causes. For persistent hormonal patterns we recommend a skin mapping consultation, and speaking with your physician about underlying triggers.
Why does my skin feel tight or dry when I start Rescue?
Some clients notice slight dryness in the first few days. This typically resolves within a week as the barrier strengthens. Follow with a moisturizer. If dryness is uncomfortable or worsening, reduce to once daily or stop and contact us.
What reactions are not expected?
Mild dryness or slight redness in the first 3 to 5 days is common as skin adjusts. Stop use and contact us if you experience intense stinging, severe redness that does not settle within an hour, swelling, or hives. These are not expected reactions.
How does Rescue compare with a vitamin C serum?
Vitamin C is well suited to brightening and collagen support, but it is not intended to calm reactive skin, and on already-irritated skin it can feel uncomfortable. Many clients use Rescue first and introduce vitamin C once the skin has settled.
Can I use Rescue during cancer treatment?
Skin is often more reactive during and after cancer treatment, and product suitability depends on your individual treatment plan. Please check with your oncology team before starting any new skincare, and let us know what they advise so we can support you.
Can I use Rescue long-term?
Yes. Many clients keep Rescue as a maintenance product and reach for it whenever they notice sensitivity or the look of irritation returning.
What should I avoid while using Rescue?
Avoid other active serums such as vitamin A, vitamin C, and strong acids for the first two weeks. Avoid over-exfoliating and very hot water on the face. If your skin is compromised, simplify your routine to cleanser, Rescue, and moisturizer.
What if I am not seeing a difference?
Most often this comes down to not using it long enough, or layering too many other products. Give Rescue at least three weeks of consistent, solo use. If you see no change after three weeks, a skin mapping consultation can help identify what your skin actually needs. If your skin becomes irritated at any point, stop use and contact us.
Do you ship Osmosis across Canada?
Yes. Orders ship Canada-wide from our Moncton, NB clinic. See our shipping and return policy for delivery times and details.

Ce produit est un must pour moi. Il calm vraiment la peau et mes boutons guérissent très rapidement. Ma peau sans ce produit devient enflammé. Pour moi, ca vraiment fait une grosse différence.
